Shab Amiri, Partner

Shab Amiri attended California State University, Long Beach where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Political Science in 1995. While at CSULB, Ms. Amiri was President of The Law Society, an Academic Senator, and the Legal Aid Commissioner. She received a Juris Doctorate Degree from Southwestern University School of Law in 1998.

Ms. Amiri was admitted to the Arizona State Bar in 1998 and the United States District Court, District of Arizona in 2001. She focuses in criminal law and has worked as a felony prosecutor for the Maricopa County Attorney's Office and a misdemeanor prosecutor for the City of Mesa. She was Mesa City Prosecutor of the Year in 2003 and the Arizona Prosecuting Attorney Advisory Council Misdemeanor Prosecutor of the Year nominee for 2003. Since 2003, Ms. Amiri has been working exclusively as an Arizona criminal defense and DUI lawyer.

Ms. Amiri has handled thousands of criminal cases including serious and dangerous felonies as well as misdemeanors. She has tried over 55 jury trials, including over 40 DUI jury trials. She was trained by law enforcement to administer the HGN (eye) Test and Field Sobriety Tests used in DUI investigations. Ms. Amiri speaks fluent Farsi.

Douglas A. Schwab, Partner

Doug Schwab is a graduate of the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona. He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Media Arts with minors in Communication and Journalism in 1995. Mr. Schwab attended Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles, California earning a Juris Doctorate Degree. While in law school, Mr. Schwab received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for nationally recognized academic achievement in Civil Rights and Civil Liberties.

Mr. Schwab was admitted to practice law in Arizona in 1998. He is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court, District of Arizona. Mr. Schwab is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and Arizona Attorneys for Criminal Justice. He practices exclusively in the area of criminal law and worked as a major felony prosecuting attorney at the Maricopa County Attorney's Office. He has lectured and instructed police officers and prosecutors in Domestic Violence investigation and prosecution.

For the last several years, Mr. Schwab has practiced exclusively as an Arizona criminal defense attorney. Mr. Schwab has handled numerous high profile and complex criminal cases (Media Link). He has handled a variety of cases including, but not limited to, misdemeanor and felony DUI's, sale and possession of drugs, child abuse, sex assault, attempted murder, fraud and theft, probation violations, and aggravated assaults. He has handled thousands of criminal cases and conducted over 50 trials including numerous jury trials involving misdemeanor, serious felony and dangerous felony charges.
